This morning I took my mile walk and got to start my day with bacon and eggs! I'm digging this idea of keto! I went grocery shopping and tried to get a bunch of veggies and frozen meat and fish. We'll see how this goes!

This is getting frustrating. I'm trying to expand my social life, which doesn't help my waistline. But I know that's my own fault.
Anyway, two new things I'm trying, and please feel free to offer advice/insight on them.
1) I've been reading a lot about people who try to keto diet, or at least attempt to stick to it. They seem to be very successful and it apparently can become a whole new way of eating which isn't too difficult once you get past the initial hump of changing your diet. Anyone have any experience with it? I'm going to attempt to at least drop bread and other baked goods from my diet and see how that goes for a few weeks.
2) I ordered the DeskCycle from Amazon. It was a good deal and I read enough positive reviews to convince me to give it a shot. I have to sit at my desk a lot, and I have anxiety so I tend to shake my legs restlessly. People have commented on it (especially in meetings and such with customers, which can make me look too anxious and unprofessional). So, I wondered if the DeskCycle could help me with my fitness goals while also quenching my restlessness when having to sit still for long periods of time.

I'm getting frustrated. I need a better goal. Something to work towards. I'm not a runner, so a marathon or something is out of the question. But I want a fitness goal to work towards. Maybe a big hiking trip or something? I'm undecided. But I don't have a ton of motivation to reach my goals and I'm still struggling to stick with my new way of eating (I'm trying to stay away from the word diet). I know I need to make an overhaul, but it just seems like it's so easy for others. I'm walking more, which feels good, but I'm still not seeing the scale drop. Any other thoughts? Any tips for motivation?
