Hi there!

How many Cals should I be eating to lose weight on the Banting diet? I calculated my DRA which is about 1400 a day, but I’m currently having 900-1000 a day, so I’m worried that would make me put on weight?

Also before I started Banting I was eating roughly 500-600 a day so after eating more, recently I’m worried that I’m gaining.

Any thoughts would be great appreciated! X

that is way too little unless you are laying in bed not moving an inch all day 1400 kcal should at most be your weight loss amount either that or the calories calculated may be incorrect

Hi there. I am on the banting lifestyle. I didnt really count my carloies so much, I mostly watched my NETT carbs and tried to keep them to below 30g a day, so that I would go into and stay in Ketosis. My calorie intake would also range in between 900 - 1100 calories per day. I would also mostly have 2 meals a day as I only ate when I was hungry. This worked for me :) Remember to eat lots of healthy fats!
