Day 11. Trial and error. This new diabetes med. sure is a funny one. At least for me. Figured out you need to eat a rather decent meal and then take your pill. Yikes, don't eat that way. Yesterday was not good. Sick in stomach most of day until I figured out the problem. This maturing thing is not fun. LOL. Gravity has taken over in places that used to be firm and there are places that I wish I had some fat that now I do not. Had to buy a foam cushion for my car seat so my tush is comfy. I used to have I nice tush when I was younger. Wonder what happen to it! Lost all this weight and my tush is gone. Cant even begin to talk about the droopy boobs because it is just way too funny. But, hey need to find humor in everything these days.
Today is my kill people with kindness day. I work with public and let me say in very short order there are a lot of very rude people out there. Wonder what ever happen to manners? Like PLEASE, THANK YOU, or even HAVE A NICE DAY? So today, at work they are going to all get it. Call me old fashion, but placing money on the counter instead of handing it to the cashier is rude. The counter is there for your purchases to be bagged and placed. How do you feel when you have to pick up your change from the counter? well, it really ticks me off. Just a thought.

Andrea, I am on 500 mg of Metformin HCL genric for glucophage. Yesterday, I ate a larger meal and I was not sick but felt really full from feeling like I ate too much. Doctor says this is a weight neutral drug but not if I have to eat more not to feel sick.

I was on metformin too, but after only 6 months on Atkins I am off of it, my Dr said I am no longer diabetic, I am in normal range. He also took me of b/p meds, I still take Lipitor but hope to be off that too soon. Its wonderful to find a diet that helps us lose weight and bring back our health. I know what you mean Sir4max about body changing everything seems to be heading for the floor...I am not to sure what they mean by "Golden Years"..lol. :)

Sir4max, I agree with you completely about "please, thank you, your welcome, have nice day". I am a really big stickler on common courtesy and have always taught my children to be polite. I go out of my way to refer to the person that is waiting, helping, checking me out, by their name, and if they are crabbly, I try extra hard to make their day a little bit better. But I have seen so many people treat those same people as if they are unpaid servants, with no other purpose in life than to wait on them. It is really disheartening. And then they wonder why people in service to the public are crabby????? PUHLEASE!! In the movie, ERNEST SAVES CHRISTMAS, the children's tv show host teaches the children this...."They never get old, they're always brand new, those three little words, PLEASE and THANK YOU!" I used to tell my sons that all the time. And it seems to have worked. We must all remember that the way people treat others starts at home. Of course, many of these people seem to have forgotten what their parents taught them. Hope your KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS DAY changes the way others act, even if it is just for the moment. ctlss, Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement. I must admit, it did not chnage the world yesterday, but at least I did not want to comit mass murder. LOL. One more day to go until my 3 day weekend. I am 50 years old and my parents taught me well. I do have manners. I hold doors open for people and I and ticked when they can't even say a simple thank you. Yikes what has happened to this world? So, when they do that I just say " You are welcome" and you should see the dirty looks that I get. I MEAN good grief give me a break people. HELLO! Sorry just venting again! LOL. I have worked customer service for over 30 years, maybe it is time for a career change. But then I have called every thing from the B word to the C word. People are just something. And yes they wonder why people in customer service people are crabby. Walk a day in my shoes. Thank you everyone for letting me vent and I hope everyone has a wonderful day and a great Mother's Day.

sir4max, I worked in customer service also. The rudeness is nothing new, but it seems to be getting worse. The amazing thing is that you can catch so many more flies with honey than with vinegar. My friends are always so amazed when people do things for me that they wouldn't do for anyone else, and they don't understand that it is because, no matter how hectic my day, what my mood, or if I feel like it or not, I am always, always polite and pleasant to the people that I come in contact with. The gas sation, the grocery store, the local hardware store...regardless of where I go or what I need from them, I try to make their day a little brighter. It is so much easier to be nice than to be nasty, and it helps my attitude also. And these people will go out of their way to help me. It is so simple, and yet people don't seem to get it. Customer service is not an easy job, and it is often thankless, so for those that neglect to do so, I will say it for them, THANK YOU!!

I agree, I love to make people laugh.. I am always the same when I am out shopping. The guys at the local hardware store think I am a total nut. Heck they even give me a discount. Gotta love a bargin. Well today is day 2 of KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS, wont change the world but sure will make my day better and maybe will someone eles day better too!
