Why under 1500 cal? Starving yourself too much for too long will slow your metabolism down. Maybe try up that a little after your break.
Also how do your macros look? I make sure I get my minimum protein every day, then fill the rest of my calories with fats and carbs as best suits my body. Mostly fats in my case, but that is what works for me.
