It's hot and I'm such a couch potato this weekend. Woke up at 7am as the heat started to rise and just got up and turned off the tv.
I wasted allllll day yesterday sitting in front of the air conditioner in the living room. Not today. Air conditioners have only been around for 1/2 century so, what did people do before that. They adapted.
So, getting online to record my entries is a start. Being honest about what I eat and what I do is what I need to do to stay focus. That's the ONLY way to track what works, when I'm in a plateau and determining what caused any weight gain.
A thin slice of Turkey ham rolled up with a piece of cheese satisfies my hunger ever few hours. But, the dramtic weight loss seems to come after prolong walking on the treadmill at the low end of the Fat Burning Zone. I tried 20 minutes then went to 30, for the past few days have been doing 60 minutes at 3.0 mph. Not fast but long time right at the point where I break a sweat. Was shocked to finally see the scale move the next morning. I know, don't tell me, pretty elementary right? Knowing it in theory and DOING it are two totally different things.
OMG, I must admit, the first day I went back to Bally's to work out in June I asked one of the trainers if they had a measuring tape that I could use in the bathroom to measure myself. He was insistant and wanted to do the measuring. I just said nevermind and left. I was so angry with myself. Why did I do that. Embarassed I guess. So, yesterday, as I walked in, he saw me and said are you ready to get measured now? I just grimanced and said OK FINE! So, at the side of the work out area, there I stood getting measured. I was horrified but really needed an early baseline to figure out progress overtime. The numbers were horrible but they were mine so I have to own them. He was nice and said to come back in 30 days, that he'd keep my chart for me. So, I did it.

So, wish this site had a way to track these measurements too. I'll post the next measurements too. For me, I want to lose FAT around my organs and heart. Sure be a size 8-10 one day would be nice but I want to be the active girl I use to be. I miss racketball! The rush of running around the court, heart pounding a 100 miles a minute. I want to actual RUN in central park after work like I see all the go-getters do instead of riding in a cab home watching them from the window. I just don't want to watch it go by anymore.
So, its noon, gym closes at 5pm. Gotta get going!
