Either I was dehydrated when I last weighed in, or yesterday's lunch out was laden with salt and I've swollen up like a toad. Probably there is a bit of both going on. Today, however, I fasted all day, with only a banana with my morning coffee, and didn't eat again until after the Ash Wednesday evening service. It was easier to do than I thought, with only a surge of hunger a lunch time, which went away when it realized I was going to pay no attention to it. I've always been afraid of fasting, but decided that Lent would be a good time to try it.
