I think I figured it out, jealously makes me gorge. My fiancé has a higher calorie intake than me, so in my eyes, he can eat whatever he wants and not gain weight. I have 1500, he has 1800. Hrm… on paper it doesn’t seem like a lot now that I look at it… But 300 calories is like 3 or 4 different snacks! He also weighs more than me (makes sense, he is a guy) so if he eats 300 calories over it’s not a big deal, if I eat 300 calories over I dread the scale the next morning. And I mean if I want to eat as much as he does, I’ll just need to up the ante on my workouts… buuuut I am quite lazy and I do enjoy sleeping. :P
Don’t get me wrong, I’m really proud of him for losing weight and keeping it off. But I would be lying if I didn’t say I am so envious when he eats 800 calories over, steps on the scale the next day and proclaims, hey I lost a pound! His body must love him… or something. I don’t understand it.
I need to learn how to be happy in the body I am in. Let’s be honest: I will never have a flat stomach, and really, why do I need one? Am I a model? No. Do people use my stomach as a plate? No. So why the heck do I care if it is flat? Vanity and that is not very important in the overall scheme of things. Seriously though, my chest to tummy ratio is getting close to the danger zone…
I don’t normally gorge in the morning and I don’t really know what drove me to it. Overeating is normally left for the afternoons, like when I’m preparing dinner, or after dinner around 8:00pm…
Okay I’m going to try and put my brain to better use, starting now. :)
