Google "why the scale lies" for insight in to water weight fluctuations. Gains can be cause from many different factors. JFI: RDI's are guidelines and you may need to adjust yours till you find what helps you lose the best. As you lose weight, you may need to cut more calories to keep losing because you won't need as many calories. If you just started the exercise though, muscles retain water temporarily to help them heal, which can show on the scale as a gain, no loss or smaller loss than usual. Read the article for insight.
