first time doing a fast, it didn't suck! scale showed 1.5 lb loss, if it stays, may do more!

It is not that bad. I started stretching my non eating window little by little and then realized I could do it and it was not hard. As you do it more often the easier it is. Congratulations on trying it out!

I think the trick is really to keep counting calories when you break the fast. I tried IF a few years ago and I think I was just trashing all my fasting efforts once I ate again.

Good job! 👍🎉 Intermittent fasting really works!!🎉 My Wife and I started intermittent fasting October 2019 before FS. We didn’t find FS until November 3029 both are great tools. With fasting We started 16: 8 for the first five weeks , then changed it up M- F 18:6 ( noon- 6pm) and Sat- Sun 16:8. ( 10-6 pm) This is working really well with us combined with calorie counting and healthy eating. From the body fast app for fasting I’ve lost 87 lbs since we started. Keep hydrated when fasting too. Water is key 1/2 Oz to an ounce per lb of body weight is RDI. Rule of thumb a gallon minimum. Is a good start goal. Plus it keeps the snack attacks away 😁

@Damablack, thank you! i donate plasma 2x a week, so stay very hydrated, (160-192 oz of water a day). going to try and do 2 - 24 hours a week, and then 16:8 the rest of the time. FYI you are very lucky to have a spouse thats encouraging, supportive, and a partner!

@bdixon, odd after a fast (end at 8am with protein shake) im really not hungry all day until night, & i know thats a bad time to eat
