So hot - tearing back a vine from the side of the house, cutting lower leaves off hostas to make room to spread compost and mulch.
Aris's friend Fiona came over to visit me, then Lewis, their marmalade cat came over too. We chatted for a while then I sent them home and came inside to sit in front of the fan.
Tonight is treat night. I am getting sweet potato fries and a crispy chicken salad from Swiss Chalet. I will divide both in half before eating, and will save half for lunch tomorrow. That way I will stay within my range for calories, fat and protein. I will eat only the bottom half of the bun (messy, but saves calories), and will try to eat slowly, taking a drink of water after every 2-3 bites. Eating too fast is one of my biggest challenges, especially as Peter eats very slowly. I often have to get up and start on the dishes so that I do not continue eating just to "keep him company". Eating alone is really much easier.
