I had to fast until after I had labs drawn this morning, thankfully black coffee was allowed so I was able to have my cup o' Joe. I have a regular checkup soon and for once I am looking forward to it! I am curious how my stats will look, not only has my diet improved but I have been taking Flaxseed oil, my LDL cholesterol wasn't terribly bad but it should be really in the great range now. We'll see.

Because I had to go do labs and take um, samples to the dr. I had to forego my gym today. I actually missed it! It does get fun once you are there a lot, at least for me anyway.

Music is a big motivator for me, I have always been a music lover and I like a lot of different kinds; to me every kind of music has a place and time. I have things on my iPod from Black-eyed Peas, P!nk, Prince, Mumford & Sons, Van Morrison, Ray LaMontagne, Michael Franti, One EskimO and various gospel and indie.

I love it all, right now my favorite is Mumford & Sons... I have about 20 minutes of their music that comes up just about the time I hit the treadmill, I don't sing or make noise in respect to others, but if anyone looked I'm sure they could tell I am really getting into those songs... I'm sure there are some glances that I never see ... I don't care, I'm having FUN!!!

When I hit a pain threshold I need to bust through I grab the bars of the treadmill and close my eyes and wrap myself completely in the music. It carries me through those times when I want to slow down or quit. And since most of the songs are lively I move accordingly. Since my workout is geared towards fat loss moreso than cardio I don't break into jogging much, but when I do it's good to have Freddie Mercury singing "we will rock you" in your ear!

Anyway I'll be up at at 'em early and back to the weight machines, treadmill and my music. LOVIN' IT!!!!
