Really nasty weather here in FL today, well at least in the central area. I made it out to the gym and back before the real bad stuff came.
Today was my sister's birthday. I made her a steak on the grill along with baked potato and veggies, I made myself a nice swordfish steak and whole grain rice, homemade red beans and veggies. I love seafood of all kinds, I guess that's the Florida girl in me, a little sand under my nails and a bit of salt water in my veins!
On most days I am staying under my RDI, but I haven't been hungry other than when you're supposed to feel hungry, so it seems I'm doing the right thing at the moment. I don't go to bed wishing that I could have a piece of birthday cake that I made sis, even if it did have homemade cream cheese and butter icing on it.
I am going to step it up one more notch in the next week... when I first started at the Planet Fitness I was shown around and given a basic guide to all the cardio machines. The one machine I haven't been able to stay on is the dreaded elliptical... I can do everything else, but Mr. E stands there with his digital display blinking smugly at me next door on the treadmill, saying "HA!!!" You want some a' me?" I dare you!" Well Mr. E here I come like it or not. He will probably tell me to get my fat ass off, that I'm too heavy, but I'll simply ignore him and stay on as long as possible. It ain't gonna be pretty, but neither is the glute machine and I am ROCKING that now!
If I dream about this machine tonight it won't surprise me. Peace to all.
