Having some slight self control issues on the weekend when I am away from home for work, Think I may go back and do the introductory phase of atkins for at least a week or two to get myself accustomed to this change. Believe I saw a change somewhere on here about that starting next week...

Hi Hkaruga I am in the water challenge with you. I am on Atkins, having the same problem in the first few weeks. I realized I wasn't eating early enough and forced myself to eat no longer than one hour after waking up, which helped with cravings. I also really tried to follow the 15 minute rule when I don't during the week. If you are hungry, have a glass of water and wait 15 minutes. I put a packet of Splenda in a smaller glass of water to enjoy it more. At the end of 15 minutes, I often don't want the food anymore. Good luck!

Lucky for me I am good at drinking water just trying to be more conscious of my exact consumption and ensure adequate intake even when I am busy... the biggest struggle for me is time/convenience, as I spend 3 days a week at work (36-40hrs in 3days) over the weekend, about 120 miles from my home, then I am a full time student during the week... it takes a lot of planning, packing meals and mapping out what I will eat where, plus I stay with a friend or my mom when I am at work and they are always offering me something less than atkins friendly. Induction day one went pretty good. Thanks for the advice.
