My dear, oldest girl graduated with her Master's degree in Museology today. I still remember teaching a tiny, eager girl to read, and at four she was devouring little books. Although I was "in charge" of her education through high school, she was the one with the curiosity to explore and educate herself in so many subjects. She longed to be an entomologist at first. Then it was ancient history and archaeology that was her passion. Geology and gemology was added to the things she wanted to know and she absolutly knew she was going to be a writer! She loved art and museums and learning of every kind. She decided she might go into education to share her joy of discovering new things, so her undergrad degree is in education. Then she found a path to blend all of her loves! Working in museums is her world and her future. She will get to educate, design exhibits, work with artifacts and art… She is a happy girl following her dreams.

Her lovely lad joined us to celebrate! Seattle was gloomy today as seen from the UW tower, but it was a cheery, blessed day!
