Dziennik smtowngirl, 07 sie 22

Question to those of you that have been on FatSecret for a while. I’m trying to figure out what the healthiest weight for my age and height. I’m under 5ft and closing in on 50. All charts I look at say for my height seems a little extreme. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm just guessing maybe 100-125 would be a healthy weight for you.

You know STgirl, weight is just a number on the scale. What's really important is that you feel like it's right for you. When you reach your current goal you can set a new one for maybe 15 or 20 pounds lower. Then, when you reach that goal you can decide whether you want to go lower or not. Good luck on your journey!

I would set a small goal, like 10 pounds and see how you feel. Then set a 2nd goal. I would think 125-130 would be okay unless you can get lower and maintain.

Thanks for the advice, I’m still trying to reach my first 10lb goal. Then I will set another goal and go from there.

What do you consider extreme?. You haven’t mentioned what the suggestion has been. Do you think you should weigh less, or more? You could pick a number that you think is about right and then just reassess as you go along.

The medical weight scale I researched shows normal weight for 5ft tall to be near 120 lbs.

Everything I have found says for my height that a healthy weight would be 89- 109 lbs.

89 is too low. It depends on what you weight now, on your body type, and frame.

You don't say how tall you are, just that you are under 5'. If you are 4'10" I found a BMI calculator that says 89 pounds to 120 would be the desired weight. You probably would know best what weight is good for you. Just lose until you get to a weight that feels right. I know that isn't easy if you have a lot to lose.

I’m 4’ 11” and weight right now is 152

I'm 5'2 and I feel best at 125 to 135. Right now I'm 147...but I was 165. You'd probably feel good around 110 to 120. Just forget about what the charts say.
