Dziennik izzypup68, 14 lut 15

I have been feeling so hungry the past two days! I suppose it makes sense, eating less and exercising more. I have been doing a pretty good job not indulging in large amounts of snack foods, but this is different from cravings. Yesterday, I felt like I could not eat enough. I managed to do okay, not great, on food, and I burned through a lot of calories. Perhaps it was because I had a burger for lunch--tasty, but not the healthiest choice and it punched a big hole in my food plan.

Today, I am eating just fine (although we are having heart-shaped pizza for dinner!), but I still feel low energy. I have not let this stop me from getting things done around the house and going to the gym. I feel like I just need to keep pushing through this. I am off to put together a nice spinach salad to balance our dinner.

I might suggest the buns you eat with the burgers and hot dogs are white flour buns. That can bump up your blood sugar and then you crash later. Also be cautious how much extra sugar you consume because it does the same process. I would suggest eating less carbs and maybe some healthy fats for snacks like raw almonds, or half an avocado. The fats help us to feel really full so we tend to eat less overall. I wish you good luck!

Thanks for the tips. I do think I need to find a better balance of carbs. I do have a weakness for sugar and actually I am eating a LOT less than I was a few weeks back. I just haven't found enough good snack replacements. I have to work on that.
