Yesterday I fell off the diet wagon. My cravings got the best of me and I dove for the nuts yesterday afternoon, salty and loaded with calories. Not sure exactly how much I ate but so much for 1500 Cals. Time to get back on the wagon today.
As penance I ran 4 miles after work at a 10:49/mile pace according to RunKeeper. With my warm up and cool down I was at around 54 minutes of exercise time. I was exhausted after that. I woke up this morning with a sore right achilles tendon and left heel and knee. Just need to tackle the mowing today so I'll have time to recover. The things we do :)

Oh Nuts! At least it was a healthy binge, I usually go for the candy! Try to rest up and you can get back on the wagon. Happy Saturday!

You probably ran your calories off. Nuts are a source of protein and healthy for you. Better to be eating nuts then candy or cake.

leave the past behind you, to get ahead you can only look ahead! Overcompensating in order to punish yourself never works out. Better eat a little more calories on a daily basis like 1550, and see if that is a better regime to keep up. "Lose fat fast" - is a myth! And finally im not sure 1500 kcal is enough calories for a grown healthy man.

The fats in nuts can be healthy for us - the salt, not so much. Nice work with the running! I have a sore achilles tendon from time to time as well - so I go to the elliptical until it heals. have a wonderful day!!

I tackled the mowing. My feet don't feel too bad in my shoes. I ran in Vibram Five fingers which have next to no padding. At least I got in my steps today. As for my diet, it's only for 3 weeks and I probably won't do it again.

Agree with slow and steady is the way to go..I stay under 1100 a day...walk 3 miles every day..work out 3 times a week. Have lost about 8 in 2 months ..going down to 110..but no restricting...this old girl anorexic is over that...

Nothing wrong with indulgence once a week. It can actually help jolt you out of plateau situations. I lose about 10 lbs a month and I always include my 16oz ribeye dinner at least twice a month and I usually realize a loss the next day!
