Tried Vinyasa Yoga for the first time yesterday! It kicked my butt! I sweated more in the first 5 minutes than if I had been running doing cardio for an hour! I think I will like it more once I lose some more weight. It is really difficult to do some of the moves when your arms are short and there is so much fat in your way! I can't touch my hands to the floor or connect them behind my back, etc...and my chest gets in the way of almost every move. I had lost the 1.1 lbs from yesterday morning until after the class - I thought it would come back (sweat/water weight), but it was still gone this morning so I'm happy to record that 188.5.
My 20th high school reunion is in August, so I'm just praying I will lose 10 to 15 or so before then. If my band had been filled more from the start (the last 2 fills were wasted time), I'm sure I could have been down 40 by now. I guess I am just thankful it is actually working now. It really feels like it is helping me to limit my portions and overall intake, and it makes me take my time through a meal. I have to kick in this fitness aspect if I want to see some big results in such a short period of time!
