Dziennik Y002, 20 lip 15

So I'm planning on doing 2 consecutive fast days. I missed a fast day last week, so making up for it today.

Has anyone here (on 5:2) done 2 consecutive days? How did it go? Is it a cheat of sorts, because it's not really 36 hours plus 36 hours, but 60 hours or so in total?

I've planned my meals already, but if I wake up in the morning and don't feel well / up to it, I won't do this, but right now, it's my intention!

I will then fast another day later in the week.

whats done is done :) dont try and make up for last weeks mistake by pushing yourself harder than what you should. If you want to make up for last week id suggest lower your total intake by a further 10% on non fast days :) Goodluck with whatever you decide

Thanks so much Ibiza122. New to this, so any advice very welcome! I'll see how I feel tomorrow and then later in the week. I'm away at the moment visiting family, so not always easy to fast. Taking the opportunity where I can. If I do 3 fasts this week, I'll just see it as an experimental 4:3 then. I need a bit of a boost.

Try a 4:3 Fast Diet with Mon, Wed and Fri being your fast days. That way if you mess up on a fast day then your week becomes a 5:2 Fast Diet. Hopefully you don't mess up 2 fast days but if you do then just try to do better the following week. Consecutive day fasting is ok if you can manage it but don't put yourself under unnecessary stress. Each week is a new challenge. If you messed up last week then make this week a better week just as Ibiza122 has mentioned.

Been reading that. Very informative. I actually have the book and a recipe book at home too. Did you ever see the Horizon episode on 5:2 that prompted Michael Mosley to 'formalise' the diet? I watched it a couple of nights ago. Just remarkable!!

I was told by LowCarbFemmeFit to watch the Michael Mosley's documentary on the Fast Diet. That was such an interesting documentary. It was called "Eat, Fast And Live Longer"

Y002 Not sure if you do the FaceBook thing but there's a very cool group called 5:2 Diet and Lifestyle Support and Inspiration Group. Its run by a lady called Lauren Carter. Very supportive and friendly bunch. Its run from the UK and similar time zone, so you normally get an answer to your question fairly quickly. :)
