BetsyO, if you are doing the Keto challenge which I thought I saw you'd signed up for?, you want to keep your fats UP, net carbs DOWN and proteins pretty stable. First thing you do is set a reduction RDI and STICK TO IT! I may go over a percentage or two one day, but my percentages stay around 96-98% of my RDI that I've set with my doctors and nutritionists. If you need help figuring one that will help you to lose weight look on WebMD, for most women it's around 1200-1350 calories. Too much more and you won't see results as fast as you want and very too much less per day over the long haul and you will start to starve your body because you will be missing essential nutrients. You can go for weeks on less, but it will start to catch up to you. And the idea is to start a new, healthy way of eating, not a crash and burn yo-yo. Yo yo dieting is pretty harmful actually they are finding out.
