Member since 2011, but haven't really been using all the features--once in a while I would weigh in or record meals for a week or two. This last year life has been SO incredibly stressful and that has led to more and more weight gain to the point where my quality of life was under threat.

Decided to participate in the forums here more and that has been the best decision ever. The FB community is SO encouraging. It's hard to know if we would all love each other this much in person, but the support is so encouraging and I am so grateful to everyone here.

The supports are great. The stories of success and struggle are so inspiring and unifying.

Have used Low Carb in the past to be much smaller than now. Low Carb has influenced me so that I cook and really avoid processed foods for the most part successfully. Pretty cool! It used to be SO anti-establishment back in the day but now that it has become the gold standard for diabetic management and people are able to drop their expensive meds that establishment has had to cave!!

That said, I'm working a day at a time to improve eating, and I'm not sure I could stick with the low-carb plan right now when SO many other things are difficult in my life. Instead I am currently tracking calories. For now I'm using Noom which tracks calories and does other psych tricks and tips that are helping me focus on healthier eating, but may also apply to other areas where I need help;p!!

Don't rule out low carb or Keto for the future. So much keto-inspiration on this site, and I figure it's because it is WORKING for people!!
