I did it for the first time and it was very difficult. The kid did not finish his donuts and instead of me just not even thinking of it and eating it I thought to myself do I really need that and the answer was no and instead I tossed it out. I grew up with a dad that if someone in the family didn't finish their food he would finish it for them. I grew up seeing that and have followed. Today was the first day that I feel like I really thought do I need that do I need to eat that food.

I am struggling because each week I seem to be gaining weight. I have increased my walking from 30 minutes to 40 which is good. I like taking my point and shoot little camera with me because I always seem to find something new to take a picture of and that is making the walking all the more enjoyable.
Now I am working on perfecting my sleep routine. Sleep comes to easy for me but I like staying up on the computer but I know that is not that healthy for winding down to head off to bed. So I am cutting out the computer at night.
I cut out the sneaking food at night last week. Next step I think is portion control. I also have been drinking more water than I ever had at least 64 ounces a day.
I feel like I am doing all I can do at times and other times I think how I need to add more veggies and fruits. It is farmers market season so I am excited about that so that should help with the increase in my fruits and vegetables.
I just want instant results and I am not a very patient person things I need to work on.

As of June 12th I started walking and could do ten minutes. I huff and puff and everything burns. The thing is I keep wondering if this walking is going to get easier. I know it will but some days it is hard to feel. I am now up to 30 minutes and I still huff and puff and burn but I do it. I went from no exercising to walking. I am one of those people that hate exercise but I really need to lose weight.

I have still been sticking to my walking but have moved up five more minutes so now I am walking 30 minutes in the morning with my family. I have had one day where I just woke up feeling great and ready to go. Most of the time I do a lot of self talk in my head telling myself that I can do it just push and take deep breaths. one step at a time.
