Ive been blogging on another support site, but to be honest there doesnt seem to be much activity there. I have met a couple of people that I have connected with, but I would like to have a larger support group! So, in a nut shell...Ive been heavy since age 11. My sister was killed in a horrible car accident. My family didnt deal with this and I think we all turned to food for comfort. We never talked about it, my parents did not communicate with me so I turned to food. Im 47 now. My parents have both passed away, and this past february I lost my other sister to a prescription drug overdose. I know that we all have our personal problems and Im not looking for pity. It does help me to know that other people have issues to deal with and it helps me put things in perspective when I read that other people are hurting too.
On the upside...My highest weight was 300. Over the past year Ive lost 60 pounds but I seem to be stuck. Im a big binge eater of all things bad, but for now I seem to have that under control. I have good days and bad and if I eat a box of twinkies I will blog about it. Im a good listener and can offer some good advice and hope to get some good advice from some new friends!
