Hi there, I lost 20 lbs and the main help was portion size, weigh everything and write down everything. I kidded myself for months until I looked at how much I was eating. I think our stomachs need to reduce in size so there is less expectation of lots of food and when that happens we aren't hungry so quickly. Never found drinking water before a meal helped but I have a glass with it. I drink loads of tea and coffee with skimmed milk.
Finally, don't give up - you can do it but you have to decide you want to do it and give your self a time to do it. Mine was 6 months and I did it in under 4 months. Good luck!
