!Binge Eating!
No change, but honestly not upset. I suffer with binge eating as a result of my ADHD meds and unhealthy developed choices. if anyone has any tips, it would be greatly appreciated! I used to eat fast food a lot, now it's an occasional thing. I do struggle with eating "healthy" but I'm making changes to make me full. here's a few things I struggle with:
1. I don't "feel" full until I'm stuffed or nauseous 2. I don't "feel" hungry, I "think" I am hungry after I JUST ate. 3. I have a tendency to eat with my eyes 4. I do not have the income to sustain an extremely healthy lifestyle. (I do cook at home often, but it's more frozen foods) 5. I cannot eat without distractions or I'll just end up scarfing my food down to get back to doing what I want. 6. I developed a sugar dependency. I used to rarely eat sugar, or drink anything but water. But... here we are. lol
here's some things I do recognize/changed 1. (Recognize) I tend to eat more at my partners house, because I'm confined to his room and we're not active (this is where I gained all my weight and noticed my newly binge habits) 2. (Change) I KICKED fast food. this was made easy by boycotting but now I maybe go out with friends, or one a week. 3. (Change) I was placed on Wegovy, this helped me so much. and definitely gave me the "push" I needed. I made necessary changes. 4. (Change) I walk to work now. 30 minutes to and back from work, there is a 700ft incline with the hill lol (1 hour in total) (5 days a week) 5. (Change) I practice yoga, but more the untraditional and more work out yoga. I aim to do this at least 2-5 times a week. 6. (Change) Psychiatrist put me on Vvyanse, it's to help ADHD and Binge eating disorder. despite being on this, I don't feel like it impacts me too much with "eating" less just controls my impulses. (Recognize) when I am off my meds, my impulses are much higher and I physically have to fight myself 7. (Recognize/Change) I need to get back into my water habits, I started this up again. minimum of 1 gallon a day. this has helped my hunger control since doing it but only on wegovy. haven't tested it. 8. (Change/Recognize) my calorie intake. I'm starting with this, I aim for 1.7k intake, but I'm always ending the day with 1.9k still enough to lose weight but I just can't seem to feel satisfied. I used to intake way more than, around 2k-2.3k a day. 9. (Recognize/Change) I don't chew my food, or well use it. I'm trying to be more present with my eating food. Taking smaller bites.
lastly, I feel like I'm being too hard on myself. I've definitely done a lot since getting on wegovy. I still eat normally throughout the whole treatment. I don't like starving myself, and I'm trying to balance things. but again, I feel like I'm just wanting everything too fast. I have low motivation, and can't plan short term goals, because I strive for long term goals because it fuels my dopamine.
I've started out weighing at 177, I now weigh 142.6. I also have to remind myself that I am a young adult, my body will not look the way it did when I was a teenager!
I love cardio, and I love lifting heavy stuff. it's just, I feel like time runs out for me to want to invest. lol
