I think I need help. I feel fine and I'm taking all of my whole food supplements, but I have no appetite. It's hard for me to get in three meals much less snacks. I've noticed by tracking my food that I don't take in enough calories. I don't want my body to hold weight just because I can't get enough in. I no longer have any sugar cravings of any kind, which is good, but now I find myself having to remember to eat. I cut out all dairy for one week, and I didn't realize how many things I ate that had cheese in it.

Hi - it's me again! If I remember right, your fat intake (according to Atkins) should be 60-70% of your intake, so maybe you need to up your fat a little...I try to use some in every meal, olive oil, maybe a cut of whatever meat I'm eating with some fat on it - not super lean. I'm kind of finding it hard to get in 3 meals plus snacks, but if you make the meals maybe a little smaller - with more veggies (I have 2 salads a day), you might find yourself being able to get it all in. Is it possible that your protein powder is filling you up a little too much?

I have the same problem! Well, not on Saturday I didn't but in general, I have to force myself to eat enough calories. I like the veggie idea, it's just not always available unless I plan ahead, hehe. I wish I had some advice but at least know that you aren't alone in this struggle.

I use coconut as a fat supplement. I take two tablespoons with each meal with increases my calorie count and increases my fat intake which I try to keep between 75 to 85%. Also Coconut oil is better than olive oil for this use because it has medium chain triclycerides which is process by our bodies also most immediately. Taking coconut oil directly as a supplement adds about 600 calories.

Thanks, everyone. I am taking 2 coconut oil capsules everday(I can't take the tase). I didn't even count it. I would love to eat salads but I hate raw vegetables of any kind.Believe me I have tried and they make me gag. I will try to add more cooked veggies. As far as the protein shakes, I don't think I would eat at all because I have a very hectic job and most of the time I barely take time to eat but I will drink a shake.

You might try MCT oil which is the essential ingredient of coconut oil. It has no taste. http://amzn.to/NI07tx. I personally don't care all that much about eating. So my routine is to eat 1 meal a day, with atkins shake for two of the meals and I take my medicine with a shake. So that is about 3-4 shakes a day. Like you I don't care that much vegetables. Finding a an eaten pattern that fits your style and preferences is essential.
