Three weeks ago I was 135 pounds. I was disgusted with myself, felt tired all the time and absolutely HATED shopping for clothes. I went home for a vacation and when I came back I weighed in at 140. This is the most I've ever weighed in my entire life. If I felt bad before, I feel much worse now. It's time to make a change. I had a friend who did the Atkins diet when he was younger and lost about 100 pounds, so I figured it's time for me to give it a try. I'm not saying that I have that far to go, but when you feel bad about yourself you feel bad about yourself.
I'm one day into this thing and I have to say, it's going pretty good so far. I stayed strong yesterday despite the many, many, many, many temptations. I'm just sick and tired of being anxious about my body. I'm also sick of feeling tired all the time. The induction phase is going to be really hard for me, but I know that with time I'll be allowed to reincorporate many of the foods that I love and that I just have to be patient. With all of that said, I'm excited to be starting this journey.
