It was so good! I made the meringue with less sugar than suggested. It is practically a health food! Egg whites for the win right? 😁

Celtic Phoenix, I have no idea. I kind of doubt it, since the texture was altered just with changing the amount of sugar I used. My hubby liked it better though! Crispy on the outside, and soft and marshmallow-like on the inside! ❤️

Melissa, this is what I try and have on my birthday from a very special restaurant here that I hope survives this mess. They do one with passion fruit and raspberry. So amazing. CelticPhoenix, you can, but it doesn't set the same meaning that you don't get the dry crisp, it's more like the top of a meringue pie. Eat less of it and enjoy the real thing.

Oh cool, Katsolo! I love it so much and especially since it is so darn easy to make. A zillion years ago when I was 18, I had pavlova when I was in Australia, and they too put passion fruit on it! I have my recipe from way back then! I too think that just enjoying the meringue as it is makes grand sense. I weighted out 50 grams thinking that would be a reasonable portion before adding the cream and fruit. It is an absolute mountain for not a huge number of calories!

Celtic Phoenix! That is super you found some recipes that could work out. If you make them, let us know how they taste. I was thinking about making a lemon curd to add to pavlova. I love lemon pie, but curd tends to have such a stronger flavor and would be a nice layer to add! 😁
