This week we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary. The NSV represented here is being able to wear my wedding dress! It is a goal of mine to fit into this classically fluffy, 90's "tape measure" each year. I know I look pretty silly, but my daughter wanted to do a photo shoot. So, I cut some flowers from my garden for a bouquet, and we had some fun! Afterward, My husband and I had a picnic on the Puget Sound, while unbeknownst to us our kids were making a lovely, cherry filled, chocolate cake with whip cream as the frosting. It was a wonderful day celebrating our love and commitment to one another. Over the last few years, my husband has lost 35 pounds. Last year I lost just over 45 pounds. Together we have become the strongest and fittest since we were in our early 20's. My wedding ring, which I could not remove without ice water and lotion, can now slip easily on and off my finger! I am so thankful for all the help and support I received from folks here, my wonderful husband who treasured me no matter how heavy I had become, and my precious kids who cheered me on!
