Here I go again! At 81 years of age, I wonder why bother fighting the food war? I have been fighting this battle for 60 years, and have never gotten down to goal weight. Who cares at this stage of my life if I am obese? I Do ~ and I truly believe that I am the only one who cares. My family members have only known me as fat. So far as that goes nobody alive has ever seen me at a normal weight. The people who knew me then have either died or passed out of my life. So why should other people care, they see this as the normal me. I must find the reason to continue this battle within myself.

In my opinion, you have your answer! The best reason to work on weight is for yourself. If that's what works best for you and your goals - health, strength, confidence, whatever they may be - then go for it. You've got this 🌻💪🏼

You are worth the effort and you will feel so strong empowered as you press on. I am in my 60's and I feel better than I did in my 40's. You can do it for you!

Your worth it! I've tried the intermittent fasting (window to eat anything 8hrs) fast 16 hrs everyday. Dr. berg on YouTube is great expert ....highly recommend. easy and great for reaching goals. Good Luck dear lady!

I thought the same thing and said I'm giving this my last shot at losing the weight. Get your mindset to determination, I need this for my health, I want to feel better. You can do this.

Well, to begin with are you reasonably healthy now? Diabetic, high blood pressure, fatty live, heart disease, peripheral vascular disease, neuropathy any of the other maladies associated with obesity— a stroke yet? If not I would persevere trying to maintain my current health and weight— no gaining. I am a portion control and moderation person. Make your goal one of enjoying the foods in your life that bring your day sunshine. Eat them once in a while without guilt. Healthier eating most of the time and less healthy or less conducive to weight loss just once in a while. At your age I would work at meeting myself half way. NO GAINING? NO OVER EATING. if you don’t already know what an actual portion size is for some of your routine or most loved foods is— find out and learn to eat just that much. You can do this without making your life miserable. I wish you a long life full of the things that bring you joy. I’m anxious to follow your story and see what you decide to do.

Don’t give up I am 70 and have cut my potions in half and do not eat between meals I try not to eat sweets and I am dropping weight slowly is the way ❤️❤️

I am a very healthy 73 and have maintained this lifestyle for probably 40 years. It can be done by many without losing the joy in your life. There are people with eating disorders who just cannot maintain long term control, but if you can master this you have it made.

You do it for you, health, energy and strength. I am a certified nutrition, weight loss and diabetes health coach. I have lost 132 pounds and I am currently helping my mother if 77 years young who has lost 12 pounds in three weeks. The secret is to eat and give your body what it needs. You should never go hungry. I believe in you and if I can do it you can too.

Mallain that's amazing. I struggle so badly with giving in to binge eating and I'm scared that at 41 years old I'll never get past that.

Why not wrap up your life in good health, nobody else can do it for you and you might save yourself from some discomfort. This is a gift to ourselves.
