It was so cool, Katsolo! I guess it is a Merlin falcon. I've never been so close before. It was a real treat!

lol - a Falcon feeder - too funny. Well - I have attracted eagles before ... by first putting out cat food - which attracts birds and cats - who in turn attract eagles - surprisingly enough. lol.

Oh, my! I'd have a heart attack for the little bird!! Cool you got to see the falcon up close. We see hawks but not on our deck, where the feeder is.

"Burst" hahah, wifey, I guess there would have been feathers flying had the bird been caught. 😭 The story ended well except for a hungry bird I guess... Well, many hungry birds because the feeder was vacant for a good long while after the scare! 😁 SherryeB, we have had Cooper hawks in the yard before, but this was the first I've seen a falcon actually land. I've seen them chase my jays. Once it was about half an hour of hide and seek and almost teasing of the falcon by the jays. Fascinating in a rather morbid way. Nature isn't very "pretty" sometimes even when it is beautiful.

Thanks, everyone for enjoying my "fasting" bird. Or... Maybe it was OMAD and he got his dinner later. 😁

Beautiful bird, great picture. I had a Cooper's Hawk move into the area for a few days, and all the doves vanished. But he moved on and the doves came back. Nature. Everything has to eat.

If I can find it I have a picture of a Barred Owl sitting just outside our kitchen window on a very similar post. Even the trees in the background are very similar.

Oh Melissa, 💕 that is the best TV ever! I can’t believe what a wonderful picture that that you captured!!!👍👏👏👏
I too just like Shirfleur have a Cooper’s Hawk sitting on our fence and watch our feeder. He’s not even scared of me.
Awesome Melissa, thanks again!❤️
