Hi, I'm a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend etc. :-) I have a blended family. I have been happily married to my best friend since 2002. My husband and I enjoy many outdoor activities. My kids are all growing up they range in age between 20 and 16. I used to run quite a bit and have completed triathlons (olympic distance and 70.3 distance), marathons, half-marathons, and 10k's. My best marathon time was 10 years ago at 3:49. I'd like to get back into shape and run, bike, swim and just play like I used to. :-) I feel that my mood and ability to handle stress has decreased due to my on and off weight gain over the last 10 years. My goal weight is 135. Anything around 145 would make me happy, but I thought I ought to start out with an aggressive goal and then determine if that weight is still a good weight for me after 10 years. :-) I am looking forward to my weight loss journey. I feel for the first time in a long time I'm really going to make this happen and make the right choices! I am not following a specific diet; I'm trying to make better food choices and watch my calories and increase my exercise. I plan to run some upcoming races as goals to keep me going. My first one will be the Raptor Run Oct 30. Following that I plan to do the Christmas Fun Run December 18. Train for half-marathon called Robie creek and also train to walk/run a marathon in May as a reminder what a marathon feels like. Following that I hope to be in good enough shape to really train for a fall 2011 marathon. I believe in celebrating life's victories and trying to let go of life’s disappointments.
