I've been stuck in a rut for a few months now, my weight swinging between 82kg -83kg about 2 weeks ago my body threw me a curve ball.

When I was 15 I suffered from IBS/ Spastic colon and it cut out so many foods that I loved, I literally could not eat many things or I would suffer from serve abdominal pain. Picture your intestines burning and twisting for 8 to 10 hours because you just had a slice of toast.

Now the pain has returned and I am forced to go back down that road I'll list below what is a no go for me, when I was 15 and going through this I lost about 30kgs in a year the pain is one hell of a motivator to stay on track, I didn't want to go through this again but I have to do what my body needs me to.

The pain inducing list

Rice brown and white, oh sushi you will be missed
Red meat of any kind including venison
Wheat, whole and refined, No cakes or Boerwors rolls for me
Legumes for some reason gets things in there really twisted
Grains I'm going to just skip this aisle completely
Sodas, wasn't really drinking those anyway
Alcohol, this was easier when I was 15
Heavy dairy, Vegan ice cream is going to have to go on the shopping list
Cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli causes gas like the legumes
Couscous
Processed meats
and finally deep fried food, Oily stuff is a big no no

I'll stay strict and stay away from these and come back to these in 6 months testing one at a time to see if my intestines can cope again
