Dziennik sliMer, 13 sie 07

I didn't lose any weight!! I gained! W T F? grr. I weighed myself twice this morning and I'm going to be naughty and put the lower of the weights. The first was from when I got up early full of energy and the second is after I fell asleep another 3 hours. I was trying not to let myself be depressed, but a bed full of kitties looked good and comforting Trying not to let it get me down.

I've just been so good. I haven't cheated once. At least I can take comfort in the fact that I feel better/think I look better and I am still in ketosis-- I was as of two days ago anyway, need more stix. I understand plateaus, I just didn't expect to hit one so fast-- this started end of week 1. Ah well, at least it's teaching me early on to be patient.

I am going to pick up some Docolax today. It is not a laxative, it is a stool softener. I'm just going to use some today-- I haven't had a BM since at least Thursday. I don't think that's healthy. I'm trying not to make it about the weight, but I will allow myself another weigh-in tomorrow to see if it makes a difference.

I also have been taking vicodine this week, which also stops me up, and I remember reading that certain pain killers can adversely effect weight loss, so I need to look that up in the book. Also going to try and pick up that vitamin that helps fight sugar cravings.

I'm also going to measure myself (I never did, oopps) so that I can see if I'm losing inches if not lbs. The only problem is I'm not really working out, so don't know why I'd be gaining muscle.

This week's goals:

* no Koolaid, no aspartame gum-- these are two things I indulged in this week that I didn't last week.

* no sour cream, heavy cream, or avocado

* eat all of my daily veggies

* eat more chicken and eggs, less red meat and bacon

* eat more cheese

* try adding nuts to my diet

* EAT MORE -- I think this is part of the problem

* continue to drink plenty of water

* join the gym-- do
at least twice a week, alternating with PT days.

* do all PT exercises as prescribed.

Eating all this protein will clog you up. I take fiber pills 3 times a day, really helps............

whenever I have had to take medication its always made a difference on the scales. I dont know why but it does particularly pain killers. dont get too strict with yourself, just accept thats how it is sometimes and keep on track. I am sure you will be encouraged next weigh in.
