I struggled and struggled trying to get pictures of these roses today. They are my absolute favorites and off one of my first three bushes. They are striped red on red, but my camera always washes them out to make them look a bit pink. The most accurate color is actually the picture I got on my white kitchen counter, but it is blurry! Oh well, surely I used a calorie or two fussing! :)

Thanks, newnameMM and tatauu! About 12 years ago a friend of mine got a bush like this. When we finally bought a house and had our own space (6 years ago) I found and bought one for myself from the same old guy who comes to our local farmers market. $25 dollars for a bush that year after year gives me blooms from June through sometimes into December! They even last super well as cut flowers! 🌹

Thank you, OhioAngel and Mikaracat! Sadly, I have absolutely no idea what they are called. I've only ever seen them in my friends' yard. Once I saw some "hothouse" roses in a florist shop that had striped red on red somewhat like mine, but they do seem a little unusual. 😁

They're incredible, Melissa! I think you did a pretty good job taking the pictures. I can see the stripes. Very cool! I've never seen roses like that.

Thank you so much! I really wish you could see them in real life. I wish I give you all some! It makes me so happy to have others enjoy what gives me joy! Their only flaw is they have basically zero fragrance. The color is just incredible though. I don't know why red is so very hard for my phone camera to focus on properly. I took dozens of pictures in different light at different angles, and most were terrible!
