Okay, I'm happy about the weight coming off this week. I think alot of the weight was water weight but at the same time I don't think I have been eating very healthy this week. I've always eaten breakfast and a good supper but probably drank too much coffee inbetween to keep me going. I paid the price last night. I was looking forward to a 25-30 mile bike ride in the evening but when I started out with a couple of friends I realized I wasn't feeling good. Hard to explain but pain in the kidney areas and nausea. I was hoping to "ride it off" but instead my friends were kind enough to suggest a couple of shorter loop rides. So after the first loop of 14 miles I decided I better listen to my body and go home and let the others continue. I'm feeling better today but am a little worried about the MS Bike Ride. High humidity, heat index of 100, and south winds gusting to 30 mph are in the forecast. I will listen to my body and if I only do the 75 mile - or even 50 mile ride - as opposed to getting a century ride in, I WILL NOT BEAT MYSELF UP ABOUT IT! Anyway, it will be wonderful to have 2 days of biking for such a worthy cause. Can't wait to get my hug from Anna - a lady the same age as me who lives with MS and cheers us on from her power wheelchair. This ride puts LIFE back into perspective for me. My ailments are nothing!

Cutting back on what I eat this week has been easy as I haven't had time for anything more than eating fruit at my desk or in my car for lunch! Its nice to be busy - when I get bored I'm always thinking about "what can I eat!"

I can't wait to get this weight back off - I feel my best at 142 but it is a little hard for me to stay there. I'm done with starving and deprivation so it will take a little time and I need to be patient. Also, I have the bike ride for MS this weekend; I hope to complete 100 miles on Saturday and 75 on Sunday, so it is important for me to eat healthy this week!

I was feeling a bit gloomy about the summer being coming to an end so quickly with students back and work gearing up. Also, I was sad to have to miss some fun biking events with friends due to weddings and other commitments. But I'm bouncing back and am going to make the best of the rest of the summer.....I'm working on a new goal to help me regain my motivation and a higher fitness level. More later on that!

I weighed this morning knowing it would be bad but was shocked at how bad it actually was. I wasn't going to record this weight but decided I need to be accountable. I survived orientation week and rewarded myself with food! Why do I do this? It seems I eat when I'm stressed, happy, or sad - it doesn't matter! I did a lot of sitting around over the weekend. 18 mile bike ride Sat. morning, followed by hosting a bridal shower, and then sat and visited with my daughter and played with my grandson until early evening. We brought home steak gorgonzola pasta for supper from the local restaraunt. Then yesterday, church, coffee, lunch, visit with youngest daughter, and then reading and eating for the rest of the day. What has gotten into me! I've turned into a couch potato! Ugghhh!
