Ok- This must be my week of trials... No weight loss for at least a week...bummer- then have a good point, pass black belt exam ...super high point.. get "THE" phone call about my Dad...Ultimate low. Is this some kind of test to see if I am bi polar? Up, Down; way up, way down; with all this swinging around you would think I am a monkey or something- This is the hardest time I have had trying to stay in my healthy lifestyle- I want a cigarette so bad!!! and I could use a drink or 10 while I am at it!! A giant hot fudge sundae sounds good too, but lucky for me my grief kills my appetite and makes me think more than twice about the alcohol, so I only gotta worry about fighting off the urge to smoke for now. I will make it through this! R.I.P. Dad, I will always love you...

So totally not weight loss oriented but I did it!! I passed my black belt examination!! I will wait until Friday after the promotion ceremony to celebrate, and it will have to be short lived because the next morning I am leaving for Roatan!!! Now that's what I call a celebration!

Very good day all in all. I did very well at the board breaking- managed to break some bricks as well. Should have stopped after the 3rd brick- when I went back and tried to do a 4th one I hit it wrong and hurt my wrist- sure hope it doesn't hurt in the morning so I can do my weight workout. I think i just bruised it, no major damage but it is a little tender. If it's not better in the morning will go to doc in a box tomorrow. After karate we went to a friends retirement party, I managed to stay away from the alcoholic calories but there was a shrimp pasta salad that was devine!! I'm trying to figure out the calories on that one. I think I did pretty well though, since i didn't eat that much.

I am dedicating today to positive energy! I will not let negative things bring me down and hold me back, I will look for the positive in all things! I was looking at my stats this morning and I have to say my chart looks good. continual loss no matter the time frame. I am way healthier now than when I started. I can easily walk 2 or 3 miles in the Louisiana heat and humidity, which I couldn't, or maybe it was just wouldn't,do when I started. My blood pressure is down to a very healthy level and I haven't turned to emotional eating during this very difficult time of my life. I have come a long way and I am proud of myself!
Now off to break some boards karate style!

As I expected no loss this week. I guess I am lucky to have maintained after last weekend. I will be happy with the fact that I have a flat line instead if an increase in weight. With all that is going on in my life right now it is no big surprise that I haven't lost this week. Dad is still hanging on, but getting weaker by the day. It is so sad and hard to watch this man who was ever so proud and healthy waste away and suffer the loss of dignity that cancer brings toward the end. Add to the mix a few positive things such as preparing to take my blackbelt test (monday) and getting ready to leave for vacation to Roatan on the 7th, my world is a little crazy right now. Sometimes I feel guilty for the good things that are going on in my life, even though my father's wishes are that no matter when "IT" happens that I continue on with my plans. He even apologized that he couldn't come for my Blackbelt promotion-he said he really wanted to be there for it. God how I love my Dad! Even if he can't be there I will do my best to make him proud.
