What a beautiful fall we are having in South Dakota - so different from last October! Taking a day off from exercise but want to get back to a routine of working out 5 days a week. Today will be busy so less likely to overeat. After work I'm going to a photography group meeting in another town - just like bike groups, you can never belong to too many. The group is taking photos of the sunset on a bluff over the Missouri River. It's going to be a great day!

Back to back cycling/upper body & core strengthening classes. I may not be able to lift my arms to wash my hair in the morning :)
I finally faced the music and stepped on the scale. Weight is 152. My first goal is to get below 150. Second goal is to get to 146 by Thanksgiving and final goal is 144 by Christmas. Not huge amounts of weight but difficult since once I hit menopause it takes a lot more time.
On my day off on Monday I marinated a whole bag of chicken breast and cooked on the grill to have on hand. My favorite marinade is plain yogurt with a packet of the dry Good Seasons Italian salad dressing mixed in. Marinate overnight or for at least for 6 hours for best results. The yogurt makes the chicken so tender and keeps in moist - yummy!

Lots of ups and downs for me, still trying to find my motivation. This week the cycling boot camp started. After all the effort to get to class (getting up at 4:40am) and the 30 minutes of core work and 60 minutes on the bike, I think I will be less likely to overeat! This session goes for 6 weeks and I'm making a commitment to get down to 142-144 before Christmas. I haven't weighed for awhile but I'm guessing I'm around 153. I've been doing a lot of photography of my great neieces and nephews - OMG, children's photography is physically and mentally A LOT OF WORK! But oh, the rewards are so great! So I need to be strong to keep up with the kiddos. I love candid portraits! I also need stain remover - all my jeans now have grass stains from "getting down to the level of the child" - but they don't warn you about the grass strains when you read this in photographing children tips!
